The Crawfords Are Stepping Down

In February of 2015, our current Operations Manager, Jade Crawford, and his wife Danielle, informed the WCYC Board of Directors that Jade will be stepping down at the end of the calendar year 2015.

During their four years in this role, Jade and Danielle, and their three awesome children, have left an indelible mark on Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp. Their hard work, great humor, kindness, and self-sacrificing spirit continued the long list of Christ-like servants we have come to know and love in our Operations Managers. They leave with the full confidence of the Board. We have been blessed to have them. They will be missed.

Over the next couple months, we will craft a more formal “acknowledgement” of their service to WCYC, and post it here on the website. In the meantime, if you would like to share your kind words of support and appreciation, you can contact them at [email protected]

At present, their intent is to remain in the Black River Falls area, raising their kids, and serving their local congregation. They have offered any support that may be needed and requested during the transition to the new Operations Manager. And, they have vowed to remain available to continue blessing our camp with their volunteer services, but in a less-formal capacity.

The Board has already begun the process of searching for a new Operations Manager. We have been spreading the word. We have placed advertisements. Change is inevitable. Although we are sad to see the Crawfords go, we are also grateful for the role they have played, and we look forward to seeing where God will take our humble (but awesome!) community.

Please, pray for WCYC. Pray for this transition. Pray for the decision-makers. And, as always, pray for the youth who are at the center of it all.
